First Week and a Half Back in California After My Chinese Trip

Well, I'm really glad to at least be back in California at my temporary home in Redwood Shores. This trip to Asia was a memorable one I will always remember, stopping by many new and familiar places. This trip was only my 2nd trip to Asia in my special life, the first being in Christmas of 2014.

The Most Memorable Memories:

Taipei:

Hong Kong:

Anyway, back to America. I missed the nice air here so much while I was gone, but most of all, I missed everything about the Excellent Entertainment Industry and the City of Angels! I'm back on my computer animating in ToonBoom, modeling in Maya, and storyboarding on paper.

I wasn't happy for the most part about going back to school. The part that I hate about school the most are the boring lectures I listen to every day and the amount of detail I have to remember Here come the low test scores as a result.

Well, at least, my digital arts class is working on a promotion for the class for next year to encourage more sign ups. Here are some of the graphics I have been working on:

I am also starstruck right now. I really want to see more concerts and meet more famous animators, producers and directors, actors, singers, and even show hosts. This below is a big part in my dream.

Stay tuned for more everyone!

Final Hong Kong πŸ‡πŸ‡° Day

Wednesday, January 3, 2018

This day also turned out to be one of my favorite days on this whole trip. My family spent our day just walking around Tsim Sha Tsui, one of the most live areas in Hong Kong. That being said, We regret our choice to book our current hotel in Mong Kok because the streets weren’t very live; the ones near our hotel were the most deserted. The hotel also was really small.

Anyway, my favorite part of the day was getting a stunning view of Hong Kong Island from Tsim Sha Tsui and seeing the ferries.

Had my final dinner in Hong Kong and my favorite thing to eat for a meal: RICE NOODLES!!! πŸ˜‹!

Anyway, this episode was another great relaxing one. I miss the United States so much, especially Los Angeles and New York that I am so totally ready to leave Asia. That being said, we will be flying back home to California tomorrow. Yes! πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ΄πŸŒ΄πŸŽ¨πŸŽ¨πŸŽ¬πŸŽ¬

Disney Day/Hong Kong πŸ‡πŸ‡° Day 5: A Trip to the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Tuesday, January 2, 2018

Today is my favorite day on this entire Asia trip. My family and I traveled to the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to see my favorite Disney characters that inspired the career path I am following today and to get on some of my favorite attractions.

We took the MTR from our hotel in Mong Kok to the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

We went to the park entrance and took some photos near the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest Disneyland Park in the world.

Then, we headed on over to Grizzly Gulch. I am scared of roller coasters, so I watched my parents and one of my brothers go on the Grizzly Gulch Runaway Mine Carts.

I then took wonderful pictures with my favorite playful chipmunks, Chip ‘n Dale.

We ended up going to the Mystic Manor at Mystic Point. That was my favorite scary ride in the park.
Toy Story Land followed.

Unfortunately, this Disneyland does not have a Mickey’s Toontown, so my favorite land in this park is Fantasyland, where anything can happen. I ate some great Chinese food for lunch, then got on some more rides in Fantasyland. including my favorite It’s a Small World.

The rest of the day was filled with more magic, including more pictures with Goofy and Pluto, as well as riding the Iron Man Experience.

After all that fun, I went on my own to visit the Animation Academy. Unfortunately, the last class of the day already finished. I saw the characters they taught that day. Unlike the Animation Academy back near my home at Disney California Adventure which teaches you how to draw more than 20 Disney characters , this Animation Academy was conducted in Cantonese, a language where I barely know any word, and only taught 5 characters. I drew 2 of those 5 in my small sketchbook I brought, taking around 8 minutes per character. I will post these drawings on this post very soon.

Then, last but not least, I watched my favorite parade, the Paint the Night Parade.

Unfortunately, after the parade was over; the park was closed. Going into a very emotional state, I was extremely sad to leave the resort and the characters I love. The MTR ride back to Mong Kok was pretty crowded.
