Rest of the Year Planned Out; Stressed Out With School

A quick note before I fight off to Kung Fu! School has been very stressful lately, reading's derivative is still positive, unfortunately. I will also be returning to the Los Angeles Area twice this summer; once to attend the CSU Long Beach Freshmen SOAR Orientation and to visit the Disneyland Resort and the all-new Pixar Pier, and 2nd to officially move me down for the school year.
Being a possibly dyslexic child, sophisticated school has never came easy to me. Although I love seeing my friends and love attending my digital art and math classes, school overall has been a big burden. My reading problems are more on the reading comprehension side, but those problems I notice are caused by the tiny texts, the large amount of words I have to read, and my lack of understanding of many of those words. Having a developmental delay and not talking until I was 3 has had its benefits and challenges all life long. From using Common Core standards to get all students to perform around the same, to a lot of classes you don't want to take, to a lot of worksheets and reading, school can get pretty scary.

At least school will be over in less than 20 days

I will also be returning to the Los Angeles Area (Home) twice this summer; once in late-June to attend the CSU Long Beach Freshmen SOAR Orientation and to visit the Disneyland Resort and the all-new Pixar Pier, and the 2nd time, to officially move me down for the school year. Although I do not like high school, I am very excited for college since the freedom ball bursts out and that most of the classes all 4 years will be focused on your major. Of course, I am always following what my heart tells me to do, and that is creating wonderful, inspiring cartoon characters and directing magical movies with the animation major, and eventually starting my own animation studio, which a business minor also helps.

Speaking of L.A., my parents and I got into a heated discussion about where we should stay. I really want to stay in a house rental for the first trip back home this year because you feel like more at home, plus you may save some money and have more space to roam around. My parents are strongly against housing rentals and would rather stay at a hotel; they think L.A. is vacation and not their home. They worry about the disadvantages, yes there are quite a bit., what if the house/apartment is not very clean, there are owner fees, and also might have strict cleaning rules prior to departure,

The Los Angeles Area, ever since 8th grade, to me, has never been considered a vacation. It's the place where I belong, it's the place where many creative, enthusiastic people like me go to follow their dreams, it's the area I call home. Every time I return to Southern California, I don't take time to relax; I am always focused on my art, animation, singing, and acting. Guess why I attended the Disney Animation Academy 5-6 consecutive times last trip.

As a result of all this excitement and hassle for my parents, we are scrapping our plans to go to Hawaii this year. We went last year in August and had a fun time. My parents are not happy that they had to make this decision. They have been stressed and Hawaii is their yearly paradise.

We will also not be taking any vacations for the rest of this year until Thanksgiving at the very earliest. Most likely, we will vacation somewhere during the Christmas vacation.

I will post more as I cruise through May! So long fellas!

Part 2: An Exciting Rest of the Year To Look Forward To! Freedom!

Welcome back everyone! Let's continue with Part 2.

Loving both movies and music to the point where my heart wants to meet all my favorite characters and create my own, being fascinated with freeways and maps for my whole life, I felt like my heart belonged in the Los Angeles Area. From many famous movie producers and animators, to famous actors and singers, the entertainment industry attracts people worldwide who love the arts. Los Angeles is where many people go to chase their dreams and is where almost all the entertainment industry connections are. Los Angeles also has a lot of nice, sunny beaches with my favorite trees, the palm trees, and perfect 70 degree weather yearlong.

The San Francisco Bay Area, on the other hand, although it had the famous Golden Gate Bridge, the Pixar Animation Studios, and the tech industry, was too cold and some of the people there even broke my heart, criticizing Hollywood and L.A. Winters in the Bay Area are the worst that I have to wear 2 thick jackets every day to school and bed. The high temperatures rarely reach 70 degrees F, rain is too much at times. Even the summer weather is too cold for my ideal summer weather, with lows dipping below 60 degrees almost every day and highs barely reaching 80 degrees by the coast. But, at least, just like L.A., the best parts are no snow all year and no rain in the summer!

Speaking of weather, I have never liked cold weather! Unlike my parents and my 2 younger brothers, I have always been a warm weather fan! I prefer to have a warm and sunny climate all year with the warmest time occurring around August. Here is my ideal climate:

My parents have been chatting with everyone in the house about their worries about sending me off to college. Although I feel like they are worrying a little too much, I understand why they are worrying. It can be lonely when your oldest child, especially one with special needs, is not around. All these past 18.75 years, your child spent their life living at your home under your care and supervision. Now, your child is about to move 6 hours away from you and get the chance to be free from you and live independently. You are worried about how your child will feed and sustain himself, and how he will receive support if he needs it. It's normal for a parent to worry when the first child gets sent off to college.

Back to life in the past week, in terms of art and music, I of course have been spending most of my available time on those. I have been playing the piano; I can play some songs through by ear. Others, I am still trying to figure out the tune. I have been working on my Summer Prayer Animated Short and drawing a lot of Disney characters and animals lately! If you would like to see more of my artwork, follow my art/movie Instagram account @jontyipimaginationartist55 . There, you will find a good chunk of my artwork, colored or not. Stay tuned for more art and movies.

In terms of my math, I plan to make a BC Calculus final exam, and maybe an Algebra final exam. We'll see as time passes. The AP test is coming up for Calculus BC! I am excited to take the exam! I have been preparing for the exam through class and Khan Academy, as well as doing more math for fun on Khan Academy! Where would I be in math if it weren't for my autism today? Thank you autism for giving me my mathematical ultraviolet voodoo weirdness every day! Need help with math? Just leave a comment and I will respond back at my next earliest convenience.

Anyway, that's it for now. Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy days to read my blog. Should I do a Part 3? Should I????? I'll think about it. Best wishes until next time!
