Move-In Day at CSULB

Well, we've made it! Move-In Day at the Long Beach State University has finally arrived! These last 2 days were packed with a lot of busy events, from a 6.5 hour drive from Silicon Valley and a celebration of one of my brothers' birthday on Friday, to moving in a lot of necessities to my room at the Long Beach State.

We drove a wonderful 6.5 hours return trip from Silicon Valley to Long Beach. We ran into a bunch of traffic like usual in the L.A. Area, especially the rush hour on a Friday afternoon. My parents have always tried to find alternative routes due to their traffic intolerance at times. What bugs me the most is that most people only see the negatives of staying in traffic, such as being late and more time in the car. But traffic also has its perks and benefits, such as more time to listen to music and look at nice scenery.

Here are some photos and videos from the rest of the summer and our drive yesterday:

We at dinner at the Gen Korean BBQ Restaurant in Rowland Heights to celebrate my younger brother, Michael, and his birthday! For those who have never tried it, you need to soon! You pay $22.50/person to eat unlimited amounts of meats, vegetables, appetizers, soups, and rice for a maximum of 2 hours!

Fortunately and unfortunately, chapters both begin and come to an end. Move-in day was great, meeting my new roommate and enjoying my new room.

Stay tuned for more of my adventures at CSULB! I will be making a video on Move-In Day on my YouTube channel real soon! Stay tuned everyone!

A Spectacular 19 Years in the Makings, Less Than 2 Weeks Before the Move to Long Beach State

Well, time has come to officially mark the last 19 years in the makings, from being born with special needs, to discovering my dreams and working hard. I thank everyone who has taken the time to get to know me and most of all, help me journey through life with my special needs. Here are some pictures over the last few years:

This last week was packed with fun and laughter.

Over the week, we cruised over to San Jose and Milpitas to visit the Great Mall and eat a bunch of delicious Taiwanese food. My favorite part of that day was looking at what this great mall had to offer:

My birthday and summer are never the time to slack off! Real dreamers always spend a s much time as they can on their passion. I have been doing a lot of cartoon art lately like usual. Here are more of my latest drawings of my favorite Disney pals:

I am very excited to head to Long Beach late-next week to start my 5-year college journey towards pursuing my dream of animation and cartoons. My parents, like usual, have been talking to me about their worries, such as how I will live on my own for the very first time, and how hard it will be for them to let go, especially since I am their oldest child. I have already met several great people at my SOAR orientation in late-June and am looking forward to meeting many more people in the near future! Here are some photos from the June 2018 orientation:

Anyway, my parents have said, especially my mom, that she will try to come visit me at least once per month while I am in Long Beach. We have talked about plans for the rest of the year; so far, we haven't planned any vacations for the rest of the year.
I have also thought about my future family as well when it comes to vacations. As Southern Californians and workers in the industry, I don't plan to travel outside California as often as my parents and my brothers do since the Southern California Area itself has a lot of fun and entertaining things to do, from the Disneyland Resort Magic and the fame of concerts in Hollywood, to surfing near the Santa Monica Pier or Huntington Beach, to skiing at Big Bear.

Anyway, I'll update all of you as move in day approaches!
